The True Power of Self-Discovery Most of the time when we are feeling weak and vulnerable, it is because we just don’t know who we are and how we fit into life.  We feel stressed and anxious because we are trying so hard to meet the expectations of others and fit in.  We look to … Continue reading “The Power of Self-Discovery”

Most of the time when we are feeling weak and vulnerable, it is because we just don’t know who we are and how we fit into life.  We feel stressed and anxious because we are trying so hard to meet the expectations of others and fit in.  We look to the world around us, we watch how others behave and try to emulate their actions and beliefs.

But this is crap!  We feel weak because we are living a fake life.  Our full energy is not in the game.  We just try to use our mind to match what we see and think is expected of us.

Real power comes from living each day, body, mind and spirit, all in, fully engaged, and experiencing ourselves as we explore life.  We don’t give a crap about fitting in, we are souls on fire, experiencing, living, learning, even getting bounced around unpleasantly as we learn though mistakes.  But we don’t care, we play we laugh and we share with others.

What a fun ride it could all be.  The unfortunate part is that most people will never experience this kind of life.  They are too busy restricting their energy waiting to see how they think others want them to live.  We have been tricked by society, into believing that security, safety and acceptance resides in learning to play by the rules and please others.  But ha ha, that’s the joke, this only leads to trapped lives.

But how do we find this inner truth that will set us free?  How do we know how to play all in, body mind and spirit?

It all starts with self-discovery.  Ask yourself, Who am I?  What did I come here to learn?  What do I already know to be true for me?  Who are my true playmates, the ones that can engage me, challenge me, motivate me and share my joy? Who can play at the same level as me and will love the journey with me?

The family and friends that you came into the game with may not be the playmates that help open you to your true power, they may be the tricksters that are trying to keep you trapped.

Either way, the journey to self-discovery is the way to open to power, passion and playmates.  Don’t wait for permission, start reinventing your life today.  Start the journey inward to find the keys to unlock the doors to your soul and show you the roadmap to blissful living and your true power.

If you get lost and need help consider some guided self-discovery coaching.

The White Witch

Do you find yourself drawn to using herbs and natural healing instead of always turning to the medical?  Do you feel the life force in crystals, rocks, plants and trees?  Do you love time alone to feel the sun on your face and the breeze against your skin?  Does the silence call to you, so you can listen to the unseen voices of the cosmos?

If you can relate to any of these experiences perhaps you have some witchy connections in your ancestry.  The original, organic witches were not a religious organization, but rather those that felt the call of a certain way of life.  They learned about herbs and the power of the earth from mothers and grandmothers and became connected to the energy of all living beings.  Their extra awareness and perception of the life forces in and around people gave them an understanding that helped people heal and rebalance their lives.

They did not see themselves as special or as part of some cult, group or religious organization, they just experienced a connection with nature and energy that transformed the way they lived.  Building an organizational structure with rules and doctrines would be the farthest thing from their truth.

They worked to discover deeper and more intimate connections with life and nature.  It was how they lived and the calling they experienced.  The fact that some began to group together in times of fear and persecution allowed them to become labelled and defined.  But this was never the original goal, the original white witches lived by a calling to connect and dance with the energy of the universe, to confront the essential and elemental resonance of life.

Their existence was defined by their inner guidance system.  Intuition and the energy of earth and spirit became their teachers.

They lived in the now.  By embracing each day fully, they were able to look for and experience the rich depth of life by confronting everything that was present in each moment.

Love was the central theme. They understood self-love and their interconnectedness with all that existed.  They knew that when they truly loved themselves, loving those around them was easy.  If they could not find the love within, they would never know how to share love fully with others.

Learning and study was central to their day.  They knew to pay attention to what was going on in their lives as all the lessons they needed would happen in each and every moment.  They sought to connect and master their mental and emotional skills and the environments they lived in.

Joy became the way to master energy. Without the presence of joy they would not encounter the higher vibrational energy of life.  Crafting and shaping life took energy and intent, and only the vibrations of love and joy could create the finest results.

In general these women were uninterested in structure and rules and did not really understand the need to build, attain and accomplish things in society.  They were called to develop a deep and meaningful relationship with all that is.  Seeking a unity with the cosmos and gentleness with all beings.  Their freedom and grace left them often misunderstood by those who sought to control and shape society.  Thus they tended to keep to themselves and live independently.

They carry on even today in the quiet reaches of society.  Although many have been manipulated in their early years to conform and fit into society, they will always sense that something isn’t right, that they are living contrary to their inner calling.  There are so many discontent women in our society, and for many it is their witchy roots that will not let them totally fit in.  But we are becoming free, the quickening of our white witch heritage is stirring and we are refusing to live as others expect us to.  We are boldly awakening to our intuitive wisdom.

I know you are out there.  Kindred spirits that are uncomfortable with the acceptable path of society.  Be free, be brave and return to your center of power.  You will once again merge with the energy of the cosmos and dance with the flow of joy in life.  Today can be the start of your return to yourself.

Reawakening of the Goddess

Reawakening of the Goddess, can’t you feel it?

The Divine Feminine is awake and alive in all women.Goddess Art by Tina Heathers

Inside every one of us resides the Goddess.  Where has she been all these years?  Quietly awaiting the time when our society was ready to explore the divine feminine once again.  Years and generations ago, the divine feminine was worshiped.  Women were revered and valued.  A time of change came and the energy shifted to male dominance.  The religions lead and empowered by men, sought ways to force the worship of the goddess and the divine feminine underground.  Male dominated religions began to take hold and the world tipped in its understanding, and a great imbalance set in.

But the world is tipping again, women are starting to find their inner strength and emerge from their hiding. Women have been awakening in business and leadership positions for quite a while now, but in a forceful way, trying to right the imbalance and meet men on their own terms.  There has been an aggressive push to establish equality.  This may have been necessary, but it’s time to shift to a more balanced point.

It is time for the reawakening of the goddess.  Women who have embraced their inner goddess do not feel the need to push or meet men on their terms.  They are not strong forceful leaders.  They lead with grace and beauty.  They love and show compassion, while at the same time understanding that people need to be accountable for their choices.  No judgement, but a natural unfolding of cause and effect.  The goddess understands human development and that learning happens at all levels.  These women lead with strength, but a strength that comes from self-assurance and a desire to heal the world.

The goddess is within all of us just waiting to be revealed.  The global significance of the re-balancing of the world that will come when more women embrace their inner goddess is significant.

When a woman can feel and experience her Goddess energy she is extremely loving and nurturing, and empowering.  She is tender and compassionate.  Women need to step up, to express from their Goddess energy, not their frustrated repressed energy.  Men don’t hold us down, we allow ourselves to be restrained.  We have passively accepted a lower position in society, why I am not sure, but I can feel the shift, can’t you?  Times are changing and she is awakening, and women are awakening.  The power of love is flowing everywhere and women shall show up in the forefront of the movement. It is happening and can’t be stopped.  As a women you are called to shake off the previously accepted repression, and the frustration from the caves of inferiority.  Stand up and love.  There is nothing to fight and endless opportunities to love.  Find your inner Goddess and let her out.

Unconditional Love

Do we really understand unconditional love? It is a beautiful concept, unconditional love.  Some people may even believe they understand it.  But we are not really a society that promotes this intention.  Those that truly love unconditionally would be considered naive and cautioned to step back and protect themselves.  We seem to believe that love … Continue reading “Unconditional Love”

Real Love art card by Tina HeathersDo we really understand unconditional love?

It is a beautiful concept, unconditional love.  Some people may even believe they understand it.  But we are not really a society that promotes this intention.  Those that truly love unconditionally would be considered naive and cautioned to step back and protect themselves.  We seem to believe that love hurts, and we must protect ourselves.  We are on guard to love selectively, once we believe someone won’t hurt us.

But are we truly loving if we only express this love with people we believe will love us back?  Do we really only love people we believe are safe and that have our best interests at heart?  Seems to me that this sounds like a love wrapped in pretty ribbons of fear.

Love wrapped in such constraints may not be love.  It may just be insecurity dressed up as love.   We want something from this person we say we love.  Perhaps we are seeking their emotional support, or comfort or protection.  We sense they will calm our insecurity and thus we deem them safe to love and expose our vulnerability.  Now we can say we love them and open ourselves to them.  Opening ourselves seems like love, feels like love, because it allows us to relax and feel safe.

Don’t you suspect that true unconditional love is an act of sharing, not getting?  There is no thought of what we need from the exchange.  If we are judging and evaluating how we will feel if we share love, then perhaps it isn’t love.  Unconditional love is a beautiful thing because it allows us to experience love every day.  I suspect it is an outpouring of genuine emotion for others.  It is not the least bit judgemental or analytical.  Unconditional love is rather like the sun shining.  It just shines on everyone because it can.  What if we could love and share love, just because we can?  We would not bother to evaluate your worthiness to receive our love, we would just give it.

And here’s a thought, what if we gave it everywhere, shared love as the sun shines, indiscriminately?  What a world we would have if enough people just spread love all around for no reason.

Now I know you may be getting resistant to this flakey feel good idea, and if you are perhaps it is because you misunderstand the implications of loving someone.  I believe love is an emotional energy generated from within us.  A beautiful feeling that can be extended out to others.  A healing energy that uplifts people and makes them feel accepted and included.  And that is the magic of love.  A non-judgemental acceptance and joy that you exist.  How would you feel if the people around you looked at you this way?  They weren’t trying to help you, correct you, evaluate you, they just seemed to smile and appreciate you.

Unfortunately society has wrapped love, not only with ribbons of fear, but ropes of obligation and duty.  Thus if we love someone we will have expectations of what they will do for us and how they should make us feel.

Have a look at your relationships and you will see the hidden expectations.  I hate to say it, but I suspect it isn’t really love you are experiencing if you are trying to shape, change or control someone.  It is simply a ribbon of fear or a rope of obligation.

Real, unconditional love sets people free to be who they are, who they want to be.  Real love is open to discovering and sharing with them.  It does not try to get, but only to give.

So the question is, if you could love unconditionally, without expectations, and it did not matter if someone returned your love, wouldn’t you try it out more?  If you loved more people, without restriction and obligation, you require nothing of them, they require nothing of you, don’t you think you would experience more love in your life?

mind questing imageMind Questing is the journey to discover and realize the implications of your conditioned thoughts.  It is the expedition through undefined clarity.  By releasing what you thought was true and necessary you can venture freely into possibilities never before considered.

Mind Questing takes you to unutilized aspects of the mind where new potency and creativity is available for your use.  We presently use such a limited amount of our intelligence.  Each one of us has access to an unlimited mind field of potential.  Unfortunately, as creatures of conditioning we are taught how to think and then we simply rethink and redo all that was cultivated.  We work and exist in a small section of the landscape of our mind, never venturing to explore the boundless lands of our human potential.  Mind Questing is a process of journeying beyond the fences of your upbringing.

It is the process of quieting the mind to see the guardrails that have been crafted around your thinking.  It takes courage to begin to ask why?  Why do I think this is true?  Who taught me that? Are these teachers and influencers really a reliable source?  Is this information actually meaningful and helpful in my life?  Can I just eliminate it as an active thought process that is contributing to my decision making?

These are the questions necessary to begin the Questing.  You want to find a clear and untainted space in the mind to reflect and access your own wisdom.  Until you can find the silent space in your mind, you won’t be able to approach clear wisdom, you will always simply be replaying your conditioning.  So step one to the art of Mind Questing is maneuvering through brain rubble to the oasis of silent sands.

Self Discovery Coaching is a great way to get help with Mind Questing.

Quiet Your Mind and all is Well

Mail chimp banner MirandaI find that I can so easily get all wrapped up in my thoughts and how I want things to play out.  As each part of the day unfolds I am busily working away at something, heading in some direction. Pretty soon I have this feeling that there is so much to do and I just have to get going or I won’t get everything done.  Then a restlessness sets in and I am hurried and bothered, especially if unexpected events or people show up, or my tasks don’t go quickly and smoothly so I can reach that plateau of – finished!

But this is all a mind game.  I have been caught here before.  I have learned that if I just stop, slide into the empty mind that meditation has shown me exists, I will be free of these feelings.  When my mind is free of gathering important things to be done, I instantly relax and feel my peace return.  Once I am settled back into my happy contented place I instantly see that half the things I felt I had to do were of no consequence, and just busy work created by an overachieving mind.  I can sense the few things that I would like to do and let all the others go.  I can gently do these activities with joy and a lightness of heart.  There is no push, no need to reach that place called – finished!  The doing of the choice activities bring their own joy.  I am happy.

“When you become quiet, you let yourself relax into the moment, into your true nature.”  Adyashanti, Emptiness Dancing

Meditation has taught me so much.  I have learned the beautiful expansive experience of an open and free mind.  I can now see when the mind is dogging me, pushing me into useless activities.  I catch myself reflecting back, judging the day, and I know the mind thrives on criticism and creating self doubt.  But I can stop it now, I can change directions and slide gently into a space of peace and love.  No longer am I a victim to a hungry mind starving for drama and intrigue.  I know how to feed it gentleness, acceptance and love.  I watch as it drinks in the powerful emotions that it has been longing for, and I feel it override the chaotic need for drama once it is filled with the soul soothing serenity that it truly desired.   Then all seems right in the world.

If you are plagued with an unsatisfied, demanding, chaos creating mind, I would suggest learning to meditate, to free your mind of its shadowed condition, and allow it the experience of sunshine and joy, that it may return to it’s naturally creative and abundant state where it works to serve your highest good.

Meditation, to quiet your mind,  is the purest form of transforming a life that I have ever encountered.
